Long wait for new information Alan Wake 2 this creates room for speculation. They range from development issues to annoying delays. However, the Finnish studio Remedy assures that keep to the plan and the highly anticipated sequel to the action-packed thriller is still scheduled for 2023.

This assurance was given during a briefing on the company’s financial results. They still have a lot of work to do, according to CEO Ter Virtal, but user testing and the feedback they get is reassuring.

“After seeing how the elements of the game fit together, we’re confident we’re going to have a great game.” added the Remedy boss.

Alan Wake 2 is one of five games in development by Remedy. Others include remakes of the first and second parts of the Max Payne series in collaboration with Rockstar Games. The Finnish studio stated that the development of these joint projects is ongoing, and Remedy will use the synergy of production and technology in all of its future games.

Control Cooperative Branch Codenamed Condor, it is in the proof-of-concept phase, where concepts are tested and the team experiments and defines the underlying mechanisms. The team is given the necessary time to develop a number of important design elements and finalize key elements before the project moves on to the next development phase.

According to Remedy, Vanguard will offer a rich world and new elements that will set it apart from other multiplayer games. The creators want to make sure that all the elements fit together correctly. Only then will they move on to the next stage of development.

Now about the financial results. Remedy earned €7.9 million between July and September of this year, with 95% of the allocated investment funds being used for Alan Wake 2 and the Max Payne 1 and 2 remakes, which are the main projects it is currently developing.
