Moonbreaker gets rid of microtransactions and monetization elements

Moonbreaker is a turn-based strategy game that entered Early Access with the intention of offering players microtransactions and an in-game store where they can actively shop. However, just a month later, the creators’ policy in this regard has undergone significant changes, and as part of the latest patch, they remove the in-game currency and microtransactions as such. The reason for the deletion is believed to be community opinions presented on Discord and the game’s forums, so it seems like the authors want to accommodate as many people as possible who actually play their work, which is not often the case.

If you have it, the developers will refund your money. In addition, all units will be unlocked in Moonbreaker after purchasing the base game, eliminating the need for boosters. This is a very positive and somewhat unexpected step by the authors. So let’s hope their work is successful and in the coming months in Early Access they will be properly buffed both in terms of content and in terms of the size of the player base.
