Age of Mythology is a real-time strategy game released twenty years ago. In its era, it received various reviews, but at its core it was a fantasy (mythical) offshoot of the classic Age of Empires, so armies clashed under the auspices of various gods, on the side of which the player could side with. For some, this is an iconic name, while others, on the other hand, were not enthusiastic about the item. However, it certainly cannot be denied that it was a truly original work, in the return of which only a very small number of rock fans believed. Twenty years after the launch, the community finally saw this project. There was an announcement of Age of Mythology Retelled.

Basically, it’s more or less clear that Age of Mythology Retold will contain all the content released for this game so far. However, it is not entirely clear what the new remaster of such a long dormant brand will bring in terms of gameplay. The only certainty is that the game will appear on PC. However, I would not rule out the Xbox console either, because, as yesterday showed, the Age of Empires series is not prohibited for them. Quite the contrary, as evidenced by the announcement of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and Age of Empires IV for consoles coming in 2023.
And it looks like Microsoft’s consoles won’t be the only space where the established brand will expand. The next direction will be mobile devices, because according to the latest teaser, Age of Empires Mobile is coming, which will be dedicated to the era of knights. Theoretically, this could be a transformation of the current Age of Empires IV. Well, it looks like we have something to look forward to. As for me, I can’t wait to see more of Age of Mythology Retold. I wasn’t completely unfamiliar with the original game.
