God of War Ragnarok – PlayStation 4 swan song

God of War Ragnarok is fast approaching, and a recent press preview revealed some not-so-positive facts. According to game journalist Gen Park, the game features a series of disguised “recording tunnels” involving pushing various objects (rocks, beams) or pulling through a narrow gap, which clearly evokes the impression that it was developed primarily for the PlayStation 4. As a result it probably will, because the 2013 console will struggle to keep up with a game built primarily for a new generation, so it was necessary to make concessions for both generations.

According to Park, God of War Ragnarok is the swan song of the old generation of consoles. It looks really amazing on it, but the problem is that it only partially uses the capabilities of the PlayStation 5. If it only worked on new hardware, players would be presented with fewer dismembered parts, as in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, thanks to which the game had would have an even smoother ride. On the other hand, PS5 console owners may be glad that God of War Ragnarök will offer them exactly four graphics modes in which they can play the adventure game.
