EUROPE
It was sold in controlled European markets in September of this year. 394 thousand consoles. But the hardware charts do not include two important European countries – the UK and Germany.
Top selling console in Europe for September Nintendo Switch, which sold more than 11% better than the previous month. Overall, however, console sales were down 20% from September 2021, but up over 29% from August 2022.

Physical sales include all games, but only those sold in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
Console sales include Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. Accessories sales cover the same markets except Switzerland.
GREAT BRITAIN
It is the best selling console in the UK for September. prefix 5. According to GfK Entertainment, PS5 sales are up over 9% compared to August. This follows an earlier post that consoles have sold over two million units.
In the second place we find Xbox Series X/S with sales just below PS5. Sales of the new generation of Microsoft consoles increased by 104% in a month. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S saw double-digit percentage growth in September 2022. This is the third consecutive month of such growth. The main reason for the increase in hardware sales is the increased availability of the PS5.
Total video game spending fell four percent year-on-year from $4.26 billion to $4.07 billion in September. Video game content spending fell seven percent from $3.68 billion to $3.41 billion, while video game hardware sales rose 19 percent from $410 million to $490 million.
Americans bought the most new games in September. Leading the way are FIFA 23, Madden NFL 23, NBA 2K23, Splatoon 3, and The Last of Us Part 1 rounding out the top five. Six new titles were among the top eight best-selling games of the month.
Elden Ring continues to be the top selling game of 2022 in the US.. It is followed by LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Madden NFL 23, Pokémon Legends: Arceus and Horizon: Forbidden West. FIFA 23 immediately made it to 11th place.
