Monkey Island is a series of adventure games that have been on hold for a long time. However, it seems to be a very popular brand that has managed to appeal to a really wide range of players over the years, as evidenced by the recent success of the excellent Return to Monkey Island, among other things. It became IP’s best-selling title, an achievement proving that the genre is definitely not dead, quite the contrary. It still has a very dedicated community that is not afraid to buy a piece that will bring them back to the legendary island that hides many fun secrets.
I have to say for myself that Return to Monkey Island fascinated me more than Sybery: The World Before, despite the fact that it offered me very distinctive visuals. However, the story and jokes in it are crafted to perfection, so I think this piece deserves its success. If you like fun, smart humor and interesting puzzles, be sure to try it on PC or Nintendo Switch, it’s definitely worth your attention.
