Wipe a tear, the sequel to the highly anticipated, popular, and excellent Switch exclusive The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will not release this year. Nintendo announced the postponement this afternoon, we are looking forward to the second part until spring 2023.

The postponement was confirmed by Eiji Aonuma. Producer Zelda said that the entire development team is working hard to provide players with an exceptional gaming experience.

As we know from the past, the adventure will take place not only on the surface of the earth, as in the first part, but also in the clouds above the earth.

“But the expanded world goes even further and offers an even wider range of elements, including new encounters and new gameplay elements.” Aonuma added, suggesting new footage. Among them is a view of Line holding what looks like a damaged Master Sword.

Unfortunately, we don’t know when you’ll be able to get up close and personal with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2.
