At today’s Resident Evil Showcase, among other things, a remake of the fourth part announced in the summer was presented, and I must say that we received a really large portion of new footage. Capcom showed a cut part of the intro when Leon arrives in the village.
We can also see the first changes in it. It looks like the entire opening sequence was a little stretched out and a little darker than the original. You can also view the redesigned user interface and of course the graphic page or brand new game mechanics. In the remake, Leon can crouch, so it looks like stealth will play a role too.
Either way, it doesn’t change the fact that this will still be a pretty dynamic affair, as we can see in the next gameplay section. It also featured the iconic Dr. El Salvador or even more iconic equipment and a Tetris merchant. From new parts, I redid, for example, craft cartridges.
In addition to a nutritious gameplay demo, a new trailer has also been released in which we can see other well-known characters such as Ada Wong, scientist Louis Sera, or government agent Ingrid Hannigan, who contacts Leon via radio.
At the same time, pre-orders started. In addition to the standard edition, you can also purchase the game in the deluxe edition, which includes costumes for Leon, special weapons, and an original soundtrack. There will also be a Collector’s Edition, which will also include Leon’s figurine, poster, steelbook, and other items.
Resident Evil 4 Remake will release on March 24, 2023 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
