Updated: Resident Evil Village is not going to Game Pass

Updates:

Larry Hryb, one of the directors of Xbox Live, said on Twitter that it was just a mistake. According to him, there are currently no plans to add Resident Evil Village to Game Pass.

Original article:

It has been almost a year since the release of the survival horror film Resident Evil Village, the eighth installment of this famous series. The game has received many awards and excellent reviews from players and critics. Also, in June, we found out that we would see DLC, but since then there has been complete silence. While next-gen versions of RE2, RE3, and RE7 have been announced recently, there is still no mention of an expansion for the Village. Unfortunately, this has not changed now, but we have good news for PC and Xbox gamers.

The Polish XGP website revealed that the Xbox website for Resident Evil Village had been announcing its availability on the Game Pass service for some time now. The text then disappeared, so either it was a mistake, or Microsoft again missed something beforehand. Needless to say, the addition of Village would make sense because you can find Resident Evil 7 in your subscription for quite some time.

In any case, the game must not make it to Game Pass before its first anniversary on May 7th. As we already know from the leaked materials, Capcom had a year-long exclusivity for Sony that the game would not look at any such service during that time.
