Xbox Game Pass won’t watch on PlayStation

Game Pass is one of the main drivers of the Xbox console. Few have resisted its temptations, because the range of games that it offers is really diverse, and most importantly, the low price tag for which it can be purchased. According to some reports, Microsoft wanted to send its main trump card to the Sony console. Yes, you read it right. This service could also be available on the PlayStation, but the Japanese giant turned down the offer. Information about this step was provided by the editor of The Verge magazine. Tom Warrenwhich, after analyzing a Microsoft report, found that this service could also be available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

What’s interesting in the end is not so much that Game Pass won’t be on a Sony platform, but another fact that Warren found out. The company even refused to include Activision Blizzard games on PlayStation Plus. Microsoft commented:Xbox plans to include Activision Blizzard content with its Xbox Game Pass subscription. This will benefit players by increasing the cost of subscriptions and increasing access to content from Activision Blizzard, which has not yet allowed its products to be included in third-party subscriptions in any significant way. Again, this increased competition is not being welcomed by gaming market leader Sony, which has chosen to protect its revenue from the sale of newly released games rather than offering players access to them through a PlayStation Plus subscription.

The move is essentially a form of counterattack against Sony’s move to try and stop Activision’s acquisition of Blizzard, which could one day make the Call of Duty series exclusive to Xbox. Microsoft is currently denying the idea, saying it wants to deliver games to as many players as possible, but in a few years it may well change its mind and create a new exclusive brand to support its platform.
