“MGATS is an optional program where developers and publishers of Xbox and PC games can submit their products to secure and confidential accessibility testing conducted by experts and gamers with disabilities,” Microsoft said in a white paper.

Testing will be based on the so-called Xbox Accessibility Guide (XAG), i.e. sort of a developer guide. Teams will receive feedback from players and experts with disabilities, tips on how to improve the accessibility of their game, and an updated list of resources that developers can connect to (non-profit organizations, events, hardware solutions, etc.). Last but not least Microsoft will offer developers expert answers to their questions.

In addition to Microsoft, accessibility has also been focused recently, such as Sonyspecifically attracted the attention of the studio playful puppy with accessibility options first in The Last of Us Part 2 and then also a remake of the first part with a label Part I. Among other things, he conveyed dialogue to deaf players using haptic feedback in the DualSense controller.

The new Czech game can also be mentioned as an example of an accessible game. 1428: Shadows over Silesia.
