Sony unveils improved PlayStation Plus with access to over 700 games

The competition for Microsoft’s Game Pass has finally begun. Sony today unveiled the long-awaited service that has been featured in all the unofficial reports as Project Spartacus. Eventually, however, the Japanese company decided to rebrand the existing PlayStation Plus and split it into 3 levels: PS plus Essential (€8.99 per month, €24.99 for three months or €59.99 per year)PS plus Additional (€13.99 per month, €39.99 for three months or €99.99 per year) and PS Plus Premium (€16.99, €49.99 for three months or €119.99 per year). Subscription will be available from June this year.

The first level (Main) offers the same as the current PS+.. So you can expect free monthly games, exclusive discounts, cloud storage and access to online multiplayer. There hasn’t been any change here.

Subscription is much more interesting Additionalwhich will give you full access to approximately 400 games for PS4 and PS5., both from third-party developers and directly from PlayStation Studios. Sony Head of Gaming Jim Ryan has already confirmed what we can expect, such as death thread, god of War, Spiderman Marvel, Marvel Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mortal Kombat 11 whose Return. All games you can download at this level will not be available for streaming. The entire library should be constantly updated with additional titles..

The highest level Premium offers several other benefits. It is by far the largest and most sought after backward compatibility. With PS Plus Premium, you get access to 340 games on the original PlayStation, PS2, PS3 and PSP.. In addition to PS3 games that will only be available via the cloud, you can you can download all games. But don’t expect news from Sony on release day like Microsoft does, even in the most expensive segment. You can only look forward to time limited trials. However, it is not clear which games they will refer to, the Japanese company has not yet specified.

At the same time, it should be mentioned that this message does not start game streaming (formerly PS Now, but the service will no longer be available separately) in the Czech Republic. So cloud gaming won’t be available in our country just yet, although Ryan says there are plans to expand to other countries.

But we can probably count on subscriptions PlayStation Plus Deluxebe available in some regions where Sony streaming is not yet available. This tier will offer all the benefits of PS+ Premium, except for streaming, at a reduced price.
