World of Warcraft trailer created by Czech creator

An interesting message came to the editor’s mail. Producer agency NICE! showed that the latest trailer of the cult World of Warcraft created by a Czech author. Specifically, this is the 3D Journey expansion trailer. Wrath of the Lich King Classic.

Young Czech 3D designer and animator Radim Zeyfart in the World of Warcraft community, he is known by the nickname The Hurricane. He has a lot of great fan videos to his credit. His work was noticed by Blizzard itself, which in the spring of this year turned to him with a proposal for cooperation.

“Radim Zeyfart’s interest in working with Blizzard’s marketing department was understandably very welcome and actually quite logical, as some of Radim’s previous videos are getting even more views than the official ones. For example. trailer Naxxramas Trailer 2017 has over 4 million video views to date Black Temple Trailer 2020 then almost 3 million, says in a press release.

You can see the result of the collaboration, a trailer that has received nearly 1 million views since its release on September 22, 2022 and is receiving rave reviews from thousands of WoW fans around the world here:

“World of Warcraft is one of the most successful online games in the world and I once fell under its spell. After years of playing games, I started experimenting with various programs that allowed me to extract 3D models directly from the game and use them to create videos. 13 years have passed since then. During this time, I created many of my own trailers, gradually improving my methods and learning something new. says Radim Zeyfart.

Work has begun at the NICE studio! already in April with the script and the first visuals. The entire production of the video then took 5 months.. The hardest part was recreating entire parts of the Northend map and world in more detail than the game itself. We had to redo a large number of detailed models from scratch, as well as retexture hundreds of game assets to bring them closer to today’s visual standards.

“After we exported a large amount of graphical assets directly from the game, such as animated characters, monsters, worlds, terrain fragments, buildings and sounds of all kinds of spells, the whole process turned into one big Lego set. We then rendered each frame in the Cinema 4D 3D editor. For individual elements, we improved the textures and increased the number of polygons, bringing graphics from 2004 to modern 3D visualization standards. After we assembled and animated the footage, we were able to start rendering in Octane Render on 6 RTX 3080 graphics cards. At the same time, we added visual effects and finally polished the trailer.” Radim Zeyfart explains the video creation process.

Zeyfart’s latest venture has once again been a big fan event in the large gaming community around the world and is enjoying considerable popularity. It is clear that the trailer produces the same, if not better results than the previous videos. Radim once again managed to create a unique video, close in quality to the videos of Blizzard Entertainment itself and its professional team with millions of budgets.
