Star Citizen still doesn’t have a release date, but that doesn’t stop the developers at Roberts Space Industries from selling their game to other players who believe in the idea of this grand project. And, apparently, there are many such people. To date, over 1.7 million players have purchased the project, according to a recently released community video greeting fans. However, this is not the total number of pilots who have tried this title during their journey. Over 4.1 million user accounts were created during the various free weekends, which is not exactly a small number. The stable player base, which includes 50,000 aviators flying into space every day, is also not small.
It’s a real shame that as part of Star Citizen’s 10th Anniversary celebration, there was no clarification as to when the title would come out, as it’s something many community members are dying to learn more about. However, as the creators state in the attached post below, there’s a lot more to come.
