This year’s PC Gaming Show, like in previous years, was so full of various announcements that some interesting snippets could go in quite easily. And at the same time, of course, it would be a shame. This definitely applies to the new project of the studio New Blood Interactive, which is made for fans of the first two parts of the Fallout series and other classic RPGs of the 90s.

During the PC Gaming Show hosted by PC Gamer and shortly after studio new blood outlined an as-yet untitled game that clearly pays homage to the old Fallouts. studio manager Dave Oshri at the time, he said that it was his dream project and he managed to attract some interesting names for it. Thus, he is involved in the creation of a retrofuturistic isometric RPG. Adam Lackowho is in charge of the Van Buren project, an attempt to revive a never realized vision in the form of a modification Fallout 3 by Black Isle Studio. It was developed under that name before being canceled in 2003. Van Buren.

Among the creators we also find artists Alexander Berezinwho is known under the pseudonym Red888guns and who worked on the Olympus 2207 or Fallout Sonora mods, and the composer Mark Morgan. For a change, we can recognize his work thanks to the classic post-apocalyptic series Wasteland, but the main thing is that signed to the soundtrack of the original Fallout 1997 and Fallout 2. since 1998. And since the first Fallout just celebrated its 25th anniversary, Oshri came up with a little update.

We still don’t know what the game will be called and what platforms it will appear on., at the same time it is still true that the release is quite far away. But at least we have a better idea of the concept of the combat system. Oshri on Twitter published a short sample that shows that although combat will be turn-based, it will take place in first person.

Dave Oshri he claimsthat the biggest complaints about classic Fallouts were by far how slow and clunky the combat was. The change in style and angle, reminiscent of classic dungeon games, aims to make combat more interesting.. We’ll have to wait for an answer to the question of whether this is actually the case, in any case, we can see an interesting-looking environment, the current form of the user interface or the processing of conversations in the demo. All of which suggests that all fans of the old Fallout games should keep a close eye on New Blood Interactive.
