It’s only been a few weeks since we posted this. Studio Quantik Dream there is a problem of finding new employees, so the planned “Star Wars Eclipse” should not appear until 2027 or 2028, which is still very far away.
He came up with this message insider Tom Hendersonwho, moreover, began to speculate that an acquisition of a larger company might be a possible salvation.
And according to his sources (via the Exputer website), this option is becoming more and more realistic. The studio will be acquired by the Chinese company NetEasewhich already acquired a minority stake in 2019 to support the creative vision of the whole.

This deal should have been discussed by both parties for some time, when it is currently not entirely clear whether they have already agreed or not. But if so, then the acquisition should be announced sometime in the summer.
However, Quantic Dream itself should have looked for this opportunity for a while, when over the years the team approached several different companies to which they presented their next big title “Project Karma”, from which Star Wars Eclipse was supposed to break out.
However, these are still unconfirmed speculations, official confirmation or refutation of which must be awaited.
