Doom in a notepad? Reality thanks to a smart developer

Although the first DOOM was released almost thirty years ago, players are still looking for ways to make the game more fun or more challenging. One of them is the passage of shooting games on various devices. Since it’s pretty boring to finish a game on PC and console, one way is more bizarre than the other. Twitter user and developer Sam Chiet completed the entire game in Notepad.

The only video he showed so far was with the first map of the game. However, in subsequent tweets, he added that he was working on making Doom accessible to anyone who didn’t need to be a programmer. This is not the only weird way to end the game. One of the modders did it on a LEGO brick, and another even on a pregnancy test or calculator that he fed potatoes.

If you prefer modern shooters, you can try the original. For more modern controls, you’ll need to move on to the 2016 reboots and the latest addition to the series, subtitled Eternal. It scored nine out of ten in our review, especially for the adrenaline-pumping action and varied arsenal of weapons.
