Intel Arc is finally here, but it has a lot of problems
October 12 is the day the Intel Arc graphics card will see the light of day. However, the reviews were published much earlier and we finally know what to expect from the long-awaited graphics.
In a way, this is a pleasant surprise. In a number of games, the A770 can outshine even the much more expensive RTX 3060 Ti, and the RT performance is at a very good level, but the positives almost end there. In many games, the Intel Arc even underperforms the significantly worse Radeon RX 6600 on paper at a much higher draw. In addition, various errors and crashes of the game occur, and some simply do not start at all.
Performance in older games is much worse, for example, you can look at the result of the popular shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, where both cards were tested by Hardware Unboxed. The result is really sad, and as you can see, the A770 and A750 are on the same level, which only proves that this is a driver problem. Whether Intel will be able to solve them in the future is a question. But it will definitely not be a matter of a few weeks, but rather months and years.
RTX 4090 performs great in Overwatch 2
On the same day that the Arc graphics cards are released, Nvidia’s RTX 4090, the oldest model of the latest Lovelace generation, will also hit the market. It hasn’t been reviewed yet, but we recently got a graph showing performance in the recently released game Overwatch 2. The numbers come directly from Nvidia, so you should take them with a pinch of salt, but they probably won. not be far from the truth.
And it must be said that they are really admirable because the RTX 4090 hits 507fps at 1440p, when it’s actually “only” around 450, as you can see in the video above. The RTX 4080 16 GB is also doing well, but at the same time, the already mentioned huge difference between this card and the 12 GB model is visible here.

Lastly, I’ll mention that the RTX 4090 unboxing is out so you can see just how big this card is.
