Overwatch 2: Players are furious because they can’t play with prepaid phone numbers

A phone number can only be used once when creating a new account, and some types of numbers, including prepaid and VOIP numbers, cannot be used for SMS Protection.”

They also state: “SMS Protection must be enabled to play Overwatch 2, even if you have an older version of Overwatch.”

This choice will definitely be effective in the fight. cheat, but the majority of users using services like Cricket Wireless simply cannot play. Many simply don’t want or can’t get phone subscriptions for Overwatch 2.
