At the beginning of last year, the Polish studio Bloober Team released a rather controversial title, The Medium. While not everyone liked it, it got a good 7 out of 10 from us at the time. Overall, this success was probably enough for Bloober to attract a company focused on a slightly different type of media.
On Tuesday, it was announced that The Medium would become a series. It will be done by the Polish company Platige Image, which specializes in commercials, trailers (including video games) and short animated films. Their work will be supervised by the head of the Bloober Team Piotr Babieno, as well as Tomasz Baginsky, who is the executive producer of The Witcher series. Babieno states in a press release that hits like Arcane and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners have shown that now is the perfect time to make serialized video game adaptations.
We do not yet know the release date or at least an approximate window, and it is clear that the work is at the very beginning. So we’ll probably have to wait a bit for The Medium series.
