Sony lost 90 jobs in the PlayStation division

Sony cancels North American division of PlayStation at least 90 jobs. These are mainly positions in the sales and marketing departments of the company. According to the Axios website, the majority of those who lost their jobs were those who worked in retail stores.

Among those released is a team of merchandisers in the United States. This included laborers who visited stone shops to sell merchandise and educate store owners about PlayStation products. Some people also lost their marketing department.

Sony appears to be changing its strategy through a global transformation to not rely solely on physical sales and more focused on digital saleswhich are growing significantly every year. This goes hand in hand with jobs focused on subscription services and the digital store, where Sony sells more than half of its games.
