Halo Infinite will feature the series’ classic multiplayer map in The Pit, according to an article from 343 Industries, but players are disappointed that the announcement comes with another wait time as the Halo Infinite roadmap continues to take shape. for FPS game.
During the HCS (Halo Championship Series) esports event, 343 Industries celebrated the 15th anniversary of Halo 3 by announcing that a new version of the fan-favorite map, The Pit, will appear in Halo Infinite. There were even images of the new version of the multiplayer map, which you can see below.
The addition of The Pit means that 343 Industries’ Halo Infinite roadmap has been expanded, as the Detachment and Argyle Winter Update maps won’t be the only additional game slots. However, many gamers are disappointed that the map was introduced on Halo 3’s anniversary and was released for months, compounding the lack of content the game suffers from.
While some gamers appreciate the effort put in here by 343 industries and the new classic Halo 3 map aesthetic, Halo content creator and YouTuber Mint Blitz writes, “Don’t call this a world first if you can’t launch it for matchmaking on the same day Forge’s technical debt and sad anticipation.
There was no direct confirmation of more classic maps, Joseph Staten, creative director at 343 Industries, had previously mentioned that classic maps in Halo Infinite would be great, and specifically drew attention to The Pit, Blood Gulch, and Guardian. This in no way confirms that these are the cards that will appear in Halo Infinity, but The Pit’s announcement suggests that there will be more.
Players also point out that the new version of Pit was touted as a “world premiere” despite not releasing until November, and there has been no actual confirmation that it will be matched, although that seems likely.
If that’s not enough for you, we spoke to the creator of The Lord of the Rings Halo Infinite maps at Forge, where The Shire has already been featured and more multiplayer maps are in development.
