Ayaneo Steam Deck’s Competitors Can’t Match Valve’s Price

Ayaneo just announced the price for two steam bridge competitors, with the cheapest model costing around US$1,000. The new lineup offers a similar experience to Valve’s gaming laptop, but it looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer for a worthy competitor for the price.

According to the announcement, Ayaneo 2 and Ayaneo Geek are slightly more expensive than the Steam Deck, with prices starting at $949 and $1,099 respectively. Geek’s cheaper model matches Valve’s higher-end device with a 512GB SSD and 16GB of RAM, but features a faster 7 6800U APU.

If you’re looking for better specs than Deck, the more powerful variants of the Ayaneo 2 and Geek come with 32GB of storage and a slimmer 2TB drive.

It’s worth noting that Ayaneo is offering a limited “very early” discount on its new line of gaming laptops, which means you can get the cheapest Geek option at $799. That’s still more than the $512 Steam Deck. GB from Valve, but Ayaneo’s AMD Zen 3+ APUs could help sweeten the deal.

Ayaneo 2 and Ayaneo Geek are scheduled to arrive in December, but the company can still deal with the premium scene instead of trading blows with Valve. However, Steam Deck orders in Canada are temporarily suspended, so enthusiasts may end up opting for a more expensive alternative rather than wait.
