Halo Infinite’s new multiplayer mode would be “something big”

It’s no secret that Halo Infinite support studio Certain Affinity is working on something for multiplayer, with continued support from 343 Industries. But now one of the studio’s developers has spoken out on the project, even if they have to keep quiet.

Several Certain Affinity employees spoke in a recent interview about what the studio does, as it is known to support the development of games and series like Call of Duty, Halo, World of Tanks, Hogwarts Legacy, Left 4 Dead, and Doom.

So while no major content reveals were made for Certain Affinity’s Halo Infinite, founder and CEO Max Hoberman did talk a bit about what we can expect and what the studio is investing in the project.

“The biggest thing that we’re doing now publicly is that we’ve been working on Halo Infinite for over two years, doing something that… they’re very prescriptive about what we can say. But we’re making something from scratch, and we’re developing it from scratch, from concept to design,” Hoberman said in an interview with GamesBeat.

“It’s something big and new for the franchise. But I can’t say more. This is our biggest project of our three projects to date. About 100 developers work there.

Paired with the release of Forge later this year, this new Certain Affinity content (said to be some kind of Battle Royale-style mode) could be just what Halo Infinite needs to breathe new life into an FPS game.

If you want to keep up with the continued development of Halo Infinite as a free-to-play game, we’ve got a report on Halo Infinite boss Bonnie Ross leaving 343 Industries, as well as recent co-op news and season cancellations. . 3 late.
