The 2007 puzzle game Portal is still one of the most popular games. After all, the developers from Valve after 4 years supplemented it with the second part. However, 15 years after the release of the first one, a new announcement came, though not from Valve, but from Nvidia, which announced the name Portal with RTX at today’s conference.
This is the work of the Lightspeed Studios team, and it’s a pretty big visual overhaul. As the name suggests, the new feature supports ray tracing, but in addition, it also offers improved graphics in the form of better textures and models. After all, you can see the differences in the announcement trailer, the shift is definitely significant. In addition, you can also look forward to support for the recently introduced DLSS 3.
Portal with RTX will release this November and will be available for free to all owners of the original game. The title should work on all graphics cards that support ray tracing, i.e. Nvidia with RTX 20 and AMD with RX 6000.
You can now add the game to your wishlist on Steam.
