Spencer is currently in Japan for the Tokyo Game Show. He appreciates the opportunity to communicate and collaborate with local developers about their games. XBOX CONSOLE PRICE STAYS THE SAME
Microsoft has no plans to raise prices on Xbox consoles anytime soon, Spencer reiterated, saying it should never be talked about.
“We like the position of the Series S in the market, it’s our cheaper console. More than half of our new players come from Serie S.” Spencer showed. “I can say with confidence that today we have no plans to raise prices. Consumers are in a tougher situation than ever and we don’t think this is the right move for us.”
Sony announced a price hike for the PlayStation 5 late last month. Due to global economic conditions, including high inflation rates, the company has decided to increase suggested retail prices in selected markets. for 50 euros (here 1000 crowns). The only market where the price has remained the same is the United States of America.
Microsoft is selling the Xbox Series X for €500 and the cheaper Xbox Series S without a Blu-ray drive for €300. In Czech stores, the price is CZK 13,490 for the X series and CZK 6,990 for the S series.
Microsoft now has a cheaper console, but analysts don’t expect it to have much of an impact on players’ decisions. Interest in the PS5 is still great.
