Developers at Infinity Ward followed up on the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II demo at the COD: Next event with presentations focusing on individual Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Battle Royale Event. The sequel to the popular free-to-play game was developed alongside Modern Warfare II from the very beginning. Thus, both games have common basic mechanics, weapons, and technical aspects.
The authors presented an extensive map called Al Mazra. In addition to the shooting itself, various vehicles will play a role, with the help of which it will be possible to refuel and repair them. The game will also have a swimming mechanic, so there will be gunfights underwater as well. Also returning is the Gulag, in which you compete with another player for the opportunity to return to the game you played.
The zone system has also been redesigned. In the process there will be a new division of zones into several circles, which will merge again into one small zone for the rest of the game. Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 will be released November 16 on PC (Steam and Battle.net), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
