Elden Ring wins its first Game of the Year title

Elden Ring has been preparing for this moment ever since its release, and now it’s finally here. At the Japan Game Awards, it managed to win the title of “Game of the Year”, joining such works as Ghost of Tsushima, Life is Strange, the excellent Horizon Zero Dawn, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Super Smash Bros Ultimate and many others. We can say that the competition was not very big. The Japan Game Awards don’t run from January to December, but from April to March, and what’s worse, some important competitors capable of beating Elden Ring have been delayed. Because of this, it is likely that this award will be just one of many that the creators of FromSoftware deserve.
