Skyrim mods may affect Bethesda’s RPG in a number of ways, but ten years after the game’s release and before Fallout creator’s next project Starfield, this new creation from the Skyrim community takes The Elder one step further. beyond. . .
The problem with spells in Skyrim is that they all tend to have the same visual effect: whether it’s electricity, fire, frost, or poison, most of your kills will hit the ground unceremoniously. The aptly named “Ultimate Destruction” attempts to change that by giving each category of spells their own type of extremely bloody agony. “Maximum Destruction adds magical blood effects to Skyrim,” says creator D-Won. “It allows you to deliver a hideous elemental death to your opponents. You can burn them to the ground, freeze them, send lightning through their backs, or even watch them slowly absorb into your poison.”
Max Destruction affects a wide range of enemies in Skyrim, including Spriggans, Draugr, Giants, all “humanoid” enemies, and trolls. Different spell abilities also produce different animations. Cast an electric shock spell as a beginner, for example, and you’ll electrocute your opponent with a quick electric shock. Advance to become an expert or a master and you will blow their hearts and minds. Most notable is the effect of poison spells on humans and humanoids, making them sick and, according to the mod notes, “vomit”. Beautiful.
Maximum Destruction is now available for download on Nexus Mods.
