Fortnite Skin Physics needs an update

The physics of the Fortnite skin is probably not what most players think. After all, we all tend to gravitate towards new skins, whether it’s upcoming seasons like Chapter 3, Season 4, or big crossover events like Dragon Ball.

However, as seasons and chapters change and things tweak behind the scenes, some of the best Fortnite skins can sometimes be left behind. Small changes often have unintended consequences, and while gameplay issues can be fixed, cosmetic issues often go unnoticed because they aren’t that important to the overall experience.

The specific items that tend to get exposed over time tend to be softer textures, like hair, dresses, capes, and the like. When these skins are introduced, most of these elements will naturally bounce and move with your character to create a realistic feel. However, several months passed and a lot of this stuff was unnaturally sticking to the character model.

However, you don’t have to take our word for it; In the last two days, two posts have appeared on Reddit showing various examples. CrypticHavocFN posted a minute long video showing many different skins and problems comparing old and new images.

Physics is very important for third person games. I received these skins and like many others the quality deteriorated over time. It’s annoying because there are so many cool emotes that I don’t use because the hair, capes, skirts, etc. they are just failures, but I never get used to it. Cosmetics are constantly changing. by FortNiteBR

The old images, despite the odd cropping here and there, look natural, while the new images make every aspect of Fortnite look like a minifigure.

HHRSN17 also posted a video, but specifically for Chloe Fraser’s mask, which was released earlier this year. While none of these things will ruin one of the best battle royale games out there, there’s no doubt that it will hurt a bit for players who have invested in these skins and then watch them deteriorate over time.

I know there are worse mistakes, but could Epic fix Chloe Fraser’s hair physics? Her tail has been broken like this for months (the game probably thinks she has an ornament on her back when she really doesn’t) by FortNiteBR
