The authors of Nioh introduced the action-RPG Rise of the Ronin

Studio head Fumihiko Yasuda revealed on the PlayStation Blog that the game will offer a world inspired by history, in which you master edged weapons (such as traditional katanas), ancient firearms, and a grappling hook. According to Yasuda, the variety of weapons available best reflects the specifics of the chosen historical period.

You will take on a character named Ronin who will face difficult challenges and decisions along the way. By this, the developers probably mean the ability to choose in the dialogs. Fumihiko Yasuda also notes that Rise of the Ronin is without a doubt most ambitious research title to date Ninja team. According to him, the developers want to use the skills and knowledge gained in the development of their old games, through which they will take the whole experience to a new level and help portray the most fundamental revolution in the history of Japan.
