Worth playing

Metal: I fell in love with Hellsinger. Firstly, the mechanisms are accurate, which is important in a shooter and doubly so in a rhythm game. It’s based on music that’s so good that it’s worth buying the soundtrack separately. What makes Metal: Hellsinger so special is how well the game combines music, locations, action, and never-ending rhythm. I thoroughly enjoyed the game until the end credits and it immediately made me want more parts.

Metal: Hellsinger is a game that is easy to recommend – the music is great, the title plays really well and looks great. The only real caveat to all of this is that unless you’re a fan of metal music, Metal: Hellsinger probably isn’t for you. While her combat is great, the music is what really elevates her from being “just” another shooter.

Metal: Hellsinger is the perfect combination of frantic first-person shooter and rhythm, where you use different skills to fight your way through hell. Great music, variety of weapons, and great level design and visuals will make you fall in love with this game.

Metal: Hellsinger is a hell of a fun shooter that focuses on fast action, where rhythm and music are the core of the experience, and is complemented by a plethora of mechanics that add depth to it. The problem is that it has few levels and everything revolves around getting the highest score on the leaderboard, which shooter fans don’t like.

Metal: Hellsinger aims to be both a full fps shooter and a fun rhythm game at the same time, and I’m very happy that it lives up to its ambitions. Fun, frenetic combat combined with an amazing all-star soundtrack make Metal: Hellsinger one of the most amazing games I’ve played this year, and I encourage anyone with even the slightest interest in metal or shooters to give it a try.

Metal: Hellsinger brings addictive fun based on the rhythm of shooting and a truly fantastic metal soundtrack. The game is short and lacks environmental variety, but the lure of higher scores should keep players coming back for more and more.

Metal Hellsinger is a rhythmic first-person shooter based on typical heavy metal ideas and offering players an adrenaline-filled, fun and addictive experience. The soundtrack, composed by world-famous metalheads, is the vanguard of the entire package and will remain on your skin for weeks after you’ve completed the game.

It’s more than just a clone of id Software’s masterpiece, and while the game lacks the moments that should be its strong points, it’s still a treat for metal and shooter fans alike.

If DOOM is a game that gives players space to improvise, then Metal: Hellsinger is the exact opposite, only occasionally allowing you to forget about the rhythm of the game.
