The upcoming Halo Infinite Forge mode was showcased in a detailed video from developer 343 Industries showing how you can create some truly amazing custom game modes and maps in November’s FPS.
After 343 Industries took a look at the building mechanics and features of Halo Infinite’s Forge mode in a recent video, the community’s attitude towards the game has changed a bit. Many gamers can see the endless possibilities of Forge mode and how it can be used to breathe new life into an FPS game with multiplayer maps, game modes and wacky creations.
Halo Infinite’s Forge will have many new features that fans will love, as players will be able to duplicate items, use new undo and redo keys, and line items up directly on the ground. All objects can also be scaled and flattened, which led the developers to call it “Giga Grunt” – Godzilla-sized Grunt. There will also be colossal earth shards and the ability to preview a shard before you start placing it in the world.
Best of all, though, players who save custom resources made up of small parts and effects can share them with others, allowing for large-scale community development projects and the ability to import certain creations onto their own Forge cards. .
It’s also worth noting that the player budget for Halo Infinite Forge has also increased, meaning the total item count is incredibly high as you build your maps, allowing you to come up with even more creative and superior ideas. .
Halo Infinite Forge mode didn’t arrive with the free-to-play multiplayer launch last year, but the builder will now arrive in November with the game’s biggest and most robust update yet. Sadly though, 343 Industries also confirmed in the same update that local co-op has been canceled and Season 3 has been delayed.
Before the November release, there will be more Forge videos on topics like scripts and bots, lighting and sound, and file sharing, all of which will receive special videos. You can read more on the official 343 Industries blog.
If you want to see some of Halo Infinite’s awesome forge creations before its official release, there’s a Toy Story map in Forge mode and even a Forge Mario Kart game.
