Perfect Dark: “cultural” issues underlying various developer abandonment?

Journalist Andy Robinson of VGC insists on its vision of development. Perfect Darkness Troubled in full response to the soothing tones of Microsoft’s Matt Booty on the subject, he points out that many developers have. abandoned the Initiative following problemsapparently a lot “cultural”although it is not disclosed what it is.

After Matt Booty reported in a PAX West interview that the development of Perfect Dark is progressing well with most of the work moving to Crystal Dynamics, Andy Robinson further elaborated on his previous report on ongoing issues inside The Initiative and adjusted its focus. some aspects but also reaffirms the critical vision of the situation.

According to people interviewed by Robinson, who spoke with some developers who apparently left The Initiative and Perfect Dark, the biggest reason for the disagreements is, Transfer to Crystal Dynamics, contrary to what has appeared before. This assignment seems to have been shared by many of the team’s developers, who were aware of the importance of keeping The Initiative as a relatively small team and functioning primarily as an “idea incubator” to be developed with outside support.

However, the release of many developers will still be a negative sign for the journalist; this, in fact, reports how many of those surveyed cite mysterious “cultural issues” and the leadership of The Initiative above all else. not better defined, so we don’t know what they mean.

It should be noted, however, that most of the developers leaving The Initiative are not at odds with Microsoft, and many have even moved on to other teams. but within Xbox Games Studios. Therefore, we are of course looking forward to updates on Perfect Dark, as well as other information on the subject.
