The development of Cyberpunk 2077 was anything but simple. Exactly the opposite. It was a complex project that gave its creators a lot of work. During its production, more than one experienced developer left the CD PROJEKT RED studio. Among the veterans, it is worth mentioning Konrad Tomashkevich, the head of the indie studio Rebel Wolves. In the end, however, he is not the last figure in the development of the famous work to leave the famous company. The newest addition is Chief Operating Officer Jenrzej Mroz, who is leaving the company after fifteen years of hard work. He has been working on Cyberpunk 2077 since 2012 and had the opportunity to try his hand at different positions. Since 2020, he has been promoted to the position of director.
In fact, he became responsible for planning updates and stable support for this work. During his time at CD PROJEKT RED, he worked not only on this project, but also on testing the first Witcher, which became the entry point for many of the studio’s later veterans. In the case of the second Witcher, he was one of the main producers. His goal was to ensure that the release of this work on PC was as smooth as possible. Mroz has yet to reveal his plans for the future, but he says it’s time for something new. For myself, I think his move is quite logical, because with Cyberpunk 2077 he has had a lot of worries in recent years, and with the announcement of the Phantom Liberty DLC, it may be time to move on.
