Phantom Liberty expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 will add a new section to Night City

This is what most Cyberpunk 2077 fans have been waiting for. We finally have a glimpse of what the first major expansion for this game will look like. The Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Story Data Disc will send our battle-weary hero to a new job in a yet unimagined part of Night City. The plot itself is supposed to be carried on a spy wave, so you will find a number of breathtaking moments. In the presented frames, this upcoming line does indeed look very dark. In addition to the protagonist of the main story, it will also feature Johnny Silverhand, who will again find himself in situations that no one will envy.

The new storyline will present Hard V with a number of new threats and, above all, enemies against whom existing weapons will probably no longer be as effective as before. Luckily for you, he will have a wide variety of gadgets to help him fight the odds. You can look forward to new rifles and, of course, augmentations, which are never enough. The soundtrack chosen by the studio really reminded me of the one that was proposed for the last part of the Deus Ex series. Really great choice. Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Google Stadia next year.

If you’re wondering why this DLC isn’t for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, it’s primarily because of how the previous generation version turned out. Today it received the latest patch 1.6, which ends the main wave of support. The patch itself is called Edgerunners, and as the trailer below shows, it allows you to sort of get a feel for what the characters of the upcoming anime are going through. You can look at the appearance of the entire patch in great detail on the official website of the game. Going forward, the owners of these consoles can only count on basic support and repairs.
