Fans of old-school shooters, stealth and the Thief series will find something to their liking in the game dark forestwhich went into early access on Steam today.
Project by Dillon Rogers and David Szymanski first-person stealth action and heavily inspired by classic immersive sims such as Thief. In the title, you will find yourself in the environment of Victorian England, you have to sneak, use your tools and ingenuity to survive.
“Take the staff and go into the shadows to uncover the cursed secret hidden in the fog” Beckon the creators of Dusk, Amid Evil, Ultrakill and Faith for their new horror adventure full of haunted streets, dark tunnels and decadent mansions. You will also have a six-shot revolver, a folding shotgun, a rifle with a rope harpoon, traps and other equipment at your disposal.
And who will you fight against? Against crowd of ghostly inhabitants as well as monster with keen senses.
Currently, the developers do not know when work on Gloomwood will be completed. It should be in early access until it is considered complete and finalized. The current version offers “very polished” introduction to the game with parts of the game world. If you’re interested in the title, it’s on sale on Steam for €15.11 until September 12th.
