A few months ago, the seventh volume of the Czech adventure series Polda was released. After initial piracy issues, the game managed to take off and the developers began to think about what they could do next. As a result, the choice fell on what the fans asked for the most – a remaster of the very popular Polda 2.
The authors announced the news through a video, where they said that an improved version is waiting for us. best graphics and animationto bring the game up to modern standards. However, the developers respect the original work.
“I would like our remaster to act in the eyes of the observer the way he remembers the original game, and not how the game actually looks from today’s point of view.” says artist Yakub Maresh.
Nothing will change in the content as such, the plot will remain the same, players can also rely on the original dubbing..
As in the case of the seventh part, the developers turned to the fans and ask for financial support on Hithita, where a campaign has already started, the goal of which is to raise 600,000 crowns. Of course, there are many levels to choose from, and hence the rewards. The base game in the digital version will set you back 349 kr, while the physical edition will set you back 549 kr.
The developers have already planned other goals. If at least 750,000 CZK are collected, we will have a short epilogue.which would explain the events between the second and third volumes.
In the event that 850,000 crowns are collected, the game will receive remastered music.. The main melodies would remain, but again everything would be more modern and natural.
At the time of writing, fans have already donated over CZK 100,000 and it looks like the main goal will be reached relatively quickly. The game should arrive as per current plans in November 2023and then on Windows, MacOSX, Android and iOS. The authors do not plan console versions yet.
