The Last of Us Part 1 it topped the UK charts in its first week. But it’s too early to drink champagne and have a grand celebration at Naughty Dog and Sony. The PlayStation 5 exclusive didn’t start well.
Christopher Dring of GamesIndustry indicatedthat physical sales are about half of what was at the event saints row a week earlier.
Dring points out a few facts: “The Last of Us Part 1” remake and the game was released exclusively on PS5. Even for sales Ghost of Tsushima as well as death thread on PS5 advises to wait for digital sales. Every year they become more and more dominant.
One more thing, Saints Row came out on all major platforms and went on sale on Tuesday, and the remake came out on Friday. Perhaps that also played a role.
We need to wait for official numbers for both The Last of Us Part 1 and Saints Row. THQ Nordic just boasted that pre-orders have exceeded all expectations. It’s also a question of how much sales they expect from Sony’s remake of Joel and Ellie’s story.

The third place was taken by the second novelty: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collectionand Saints Row dropped to sixth place.
