The publisher has announced that the WWII real-time strategy game Men of War II, which was scheduled for release later this year, has been pushed back to 2023. The developer of Best Way was based in the Ukrainian city of Severodonetsk and was forced to move due to heavy shelling by the invading Russian forces, which ultimately left the city in ruins.
Best Way moved its staff and took over the development of Men of War II, and expanded its goals for the game to include fan feedback and requests received during a series of closed testing phases.
“The development team plans to make the game bigger and better than anyone could have imagined,” says publisher Fulqrum (formerly 1C Entertainment). “This additional development time will allow the Best Way team to add a lot of new content, such as the highly requested standalone campaign for the Third Reich and new missions for other factions, and improve many game features such as dynamic campaigns. , significantly improve the user interface and much more.
Combining the game’s expansion with the studio’s unexpected move, Best Way and Fulqrum decided it was best to move the release date to next year.
