Sam and Max remasters are finally heading to PlayStation

At the end of this year, it will be two years since the game’s remaster was released on PC and Switch. Sam and Max Save the World, i.e. the first season of the episodic adventure adventures of Sam and Max, which is the responsibility of the Skunkape Games team. A few months later, owners of Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S also received a new look for the first Telltale Games, and a remaster of the second season, called Sam and Max outside of time and space, was already released on all platforms in December/December last year. But among them, one well-known name was still missing – PlayStation.

Developers from Skunkape Games intend to correct this omission in the near future. Both Sam & Max Save the World and Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space will release on September 29/September 2022 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.. The first season, subtitled Save the World, didn’t even make it to Sony consoles in its original form, so the arrival of the remaster means, in this case, the premiere of the first six episodes on the PlayStation field..

On the occasion of this announcement, the manufacturers also released new trailer that offers a mixture of footage from the first and second seasons. Players on other platforms have no choice but to wait for the third season remaster. I hope for an improved version of the game Sam and Max: Devil’s Theater he will arrive again in a year, i.e. in early December of this year, but so far no one from Skunkape has officially hinted at anything. The creative team, made up of many ex-Telltale Games employees, has limited capabilities and such they have to develop remakes in the style of one console family at a time.
