Apex Legends skin leaks could be the key to finding out what’s in next season’s battle royale game, with potential cosmetics pointing a giant clawed finger at a potential Prometheus-Alien-Predator crossover.
Having another franchise feature in your Battle Royale is common, as Fortnite seems to be associated with every smart object known. Apex was fairly light on this type of content, apparently quite comfortable with its own knowledge that it didn’t need to rely on another license.
A sharp-eyed Reddit user has posted his theory of what Apex could be, along with some solid evidence to back up his argument. Three skins will enter the game during the upcoming event, each bearing an uncanny resemblance to Prometheus, Alien, and Predator themes.
Gibby is an unnatural porcelain white as the Prometheus engineer, and we get a glimpse of two weapon skins, one black and green with an organic look – Alien, and one that adds almost chainmail and gold trim – Predator.
Another user comments below the post about what he hopes happens next: “I wish Watson had a Ripley-inspired look for her legacy that has a really cool alien reference.” Cross collaborations and events in games like Apex can be a great way to freshen things up and add a touch of nostalgia.
