Respawn developers say the Apex Legends bug that prevented high-level players from properly receiving rewards for leveling up in an FPS game has now been fixed. An issue found in the game’s current 14th season, Hunted, affected players level 500 and above, and the team provided an overview of what fixed the bug and how they tried to prevent similar issues from occurring in Battle Royale in the future. .

respawn says that players over level 500 who mistakenly received their level up rewards should now find the missing rewards in their inventory when starting the game. The team claims the bug was caused as part of the Apex Legends level cap increase introduced in Season 14, in which the level cap was increased from 500 to 2000 with a prestige system that links players with rewards for levels one to 500. additional times after the first.

“We have a lot of different systems that keep track of player levels, rewards, and overall game progress,” says Calirical Senior Community Manager in a post on the game’s subreddit. these systems have begun to overlap. In this case, we were able to develop a solution that didn’t require its own update and could work through our back-end systems.” Furthermore, Calirical notes that additional timing checks have been introduced, which should automatically detect such inconsistencies and provide the appropriate rewards if necessary.

In the comments, a player asked about a possible fix for Season 13 ranked rewards, where players hoping to earn badges for completion as Apex Predator found that they were instead being rewarded with a master badge. In response, developer RobotHavGunz explains: “I tried to fix this problem. [issue] during the last six months. My fix works 100% of the time in our development environment and 0% of the time in real time.” They say “badges are a much more complex system than it sounds” and the team can’t just award badges to players directly where the gap occurs, although they joke that “rewriting the badge system so we can do exactly what what are you looking for”. as if it were the best option.

Game development is complex, and it’s always good to hear first-hand examples of some of the behind-the-scenes work that even goes into some seemingly simple systems to remind you just how complex they can be beneath the surface. RobotHavGunz notes that the team often doesn’t comment publicly, even on issues they’re actively working on, because “we’ve had several occasions where we’re ‘sure’ we’ve fixed them. [a problem] and then it doesn’t work [in the live version of the game]”. However, if you missed out on the level up rewards before, you can at least get them now.

Write a list of Apex Legends levels and our list of Apex Legends weapon levels for the best legends and weapons to use in season 14, also what a guide to chaque Apex Legends relic pack and comment on them get. Players are flocking to the new update, taking the game to a new level for most players on Steam, but some are complaining about Apex Legends matchmaking, while others think the speed of Apex changes in Legends Ring this season does not give them time to prepare.
