During the informative presentation at Gamescom Opening Night Live, Bungie announced the release time for Destiny 2 King’s Fall and confirmed that the popular Classic Edition will return for Season Plunder players.
King’s Fall will see Destiny 2 players take on Hive King Oryx, brother of Savathun, the main antagonist of the current expansion The Witch Queen, and the raid will be free for all players. Although most long-time Destiny players are familiar with King’s Fall, that’s not stopping Bungie from running for the World Championship. Expect some great new ways for players to complete the raid, as Destiny 2 features very different strategies, subclasses, and weapons than the original King’s Fall.
So when Destiny 2 King’s Fall release date? Players can jump into the raid or watch the first world race on: Friday, August 26, 10 a.m. PT/ 1 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. BST.
Hopefully the experience will be a little smoother with the addition of Vow of the Disciple, the raid on The Witch Queen expansion that will kick players out of the event and struggle with error codes that will make the run World One rather dark on this occasion.
If you’re planning on diving into King’s Fall, you’ll want to have the best Destiny 2 weapons in your gear. Or, if you want to see how the sweatiest players get things done, head over to Twitch or the Destiny 2 section of YouTube that day and tune into a stream and watch the race for World One.
