Nvidia announced the conference, but is not waiting for the RTX 40
Nvidia is also preparing its GTC event this year, which focuses on technologies related to artificial intelligence. Now, the company has announced that it will be hosting a conference call as part of the event, with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang himself speaking. It will take place on September 20 at 17:00 and is scheduled for classic broadcast on various platforms. But don’t expect an RTX 40 announcement here, because gaming graphics will most likely be out of the question.
The current generation was introduced in a special live broadcast that took place on September 1, 2020. It’s rather strange that Nvidia still hasn’t made much of an announcement about Lovelace since it was already luring the RTX 30 at this time two years ago. So we’ll see how the next generation ends up being announced.
How does Intel Arc work in different old games?
The Arc A380 graphics card has finally officially made its way outside of China, specifically to the United States. In a few months, it will be able to reach more clients as well as editors involved in hardware testing. And a very interesting test came up with PC Games Hardware magazine. He tried to launch and play 50 games of different ages, focusing on functionality rather than the classic FPS measurement.
Intel announced in advance that the optimization would be poor, especially in older games, but paradoxically, most of those tested worked correctly. Only Max Payne 2, running on a very old DirectX 8, would not run at all. However, some modern games have experienced problems, such as Halo Infinite, Spider-Man Remastered, Farming Simulator 22, Psychonauts 2 or Saint’s Row, released a few days ago. However, three of these games use DirectX 12, for which Intel promises perfect optimization. Thus, it is clear that the company still has a lot of work to do in terms of software.
