The Witcher and Sekiro meet in Team Ninja’s Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.

Announced in June, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is the latest development from Team Ninja, helmed by Bloodborne and Nioh producers Masaaki Yamagiwa and Fumihiko Yasuda, respectively. The self-proclaimed action-packed swordplay based on Chinese martial arts gives fans a first taste of what’s going on.

The gameplay trailer showcases combat on a scale we’ve never seen before, where swordsmanship and magic are your main offensive force. As with games like Sekiro, combat seems to revolve around tricking your enemy and parrying attacks whenever you can. Combat looks chaotic and beautiful, with spells filling the battlefield amidst your enemies’ onslaught.

Boss battles are also a big part of the protagonist’s journey, and their design looks great; jellyfish-like creatures, a huge flaming phoenix, and a scary guy with a bell. What more could you want?

Given the vague 2023 release date, it’s unclear how long we’ll have to wait to bring Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty home, but more information will emerge towards the end of the year when the title becomes playable at the Tokyo Games show. .

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will be released on home consoles, on Steam, and will also be available on Day 1 on Game Pass. Some of the best Game Pass games on PC are going away soon, hopefully just to make room for things like Commandos 3 HD Remaster. I’ve been obsessed with little army men for a while and I’m ready to do it again. If you don’t have Game Pass, it looks like Microsoft is testing the PC Game Pass family plan for those who like to play games and spend money together.
