The exciting adventures of Tintin will continue in the next game. The French publisher announced Tintin Reporter – Pharaoh Cigars for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
The name is inspired by Pharaoh’s Cigars, the fourth volume of the comic book series The Adventures of Tintin by the Belgian cartoonist Hergé. In it, Tintin and his faithful dog Filuta embark on a puzzle-filled adventure to solve a case of international drug smuggling.
“After meeting Professor Sarcophagus on a Mediterranean cruise, a prominent Belgian reporter sets off to on an expedition to the tomb of Pharaoh Kih-Oskh“ we read in the press release.
“What dark secrets does the tomb hide? From Egypt to India, through Arabia, Tintin and Filutha eventually investigate a giant network of drug dealers throughout the East.
CEO Stéphane Longear said they started working on the game a few years ago and can’t wait to get it to the players.
“If I had to add one thing, I would say that we will do our best to pay tribute to Hergé’s work and give fans the film adaptation of their dreams.”
The game will be released in 2023.
