Apparently, Marvel’s Spider-Man was supposed to have multiplayer

Game development is complex and not all elements make it into the final project. According to the findings of an inquisitive user DayTamp Marvel’s Spider-Man from Insomniac Games is one of the works that ended up not bringing the players everything that was originally intended. According to his conclusions, the game should contain a multiplayer component, in which the player could choose between Peter Parker or Miles Morales, and then go to Manhattan, where there will be a competition with a friend who will take the second version of Spider-Man.

In the submitted files, in addition to the information that the title could have been a two-player game, there is also a hint of collaboration, which certainly would not be something I would despise in this work. It’s a pity that this element didn’t appear in the released product or the subsequent release of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, where a friend’s presence could really be used in taming crime on the streets of Manhattan. However, I would not completely rule out that over time we will see the addition of this element, perhaps as part of the modifications, of which there are already a bunch.
