Elden Ring Bosses – That phrase alone is enough to strike fear into the heart of any fan of From Software’s sandbox RPG still dealing with memories of Radagon, Beast Priest, and of course, Malenia. But the Dark Souls and Bloodborne-inspired action-adventure just got creepier, as lovable claymation Pingu now lives in the midst.
Created by Adrian Mendez, Visual Effects Artist at Ubisoft, Elden Ring Pingu – Elden Ringu is a new unholy creation made in Unity 3D. An adorable childlike figure emerging from behind a sheer cliff is accompanied by the resounding sound of Mozart’s opera “Lacrimosa”. Silently, or rather silently, he raises his mighty animated fin and smashes the poor dull ones with three thunderclaps. “YOU DIED” reads like a From Software branded game, without adding the much more appropriate “YOU JUST GOT KILLED BY PINGU.”
As it stands, this is just a video made with Unity: “Is this the correct way to use Unity 3D?” Mendes writes about Twitter. “Why not?” However, judging by the responses on both social media and YouTube, you’ll soon be able to mod Pingu in your game, if for some reason you want to.
“I have never wanted something as powerful as a mod before,” writes one viewer. “God I need a game urgently,” said another. We don’t know where Pingu would place on our list of Elden Ring bosses in order, but we’d have to say he’s probably first, simply because of the horror value of it.
