If you’re a fan of the roguelite genre, you might be familiar with the RPG Hand of Fate and its sequel. Behind both titles is the Australian studio Defiant, which disappeared in 2019. But key developers have reunited to form a new studio, Spitfire Interactive, to begin work on the next game just announced by Capes.

It’s a tactical RPG with turn-based combat, very similar to XCOM. Capes takes place in a city that was overrun by supervillains ten years ago. Our task will be to assemble a team of heroes and return the city to our hands.

Let’s see how the game performs against the rival Marvel Midnight Suns, the games are very similar and most likely will be released at the same time. Capes must come out in the first quarter of 2023 and so far the only goal PC, where you can add the game to your wishlist on Steam. However, the developers are gearing up to head to Gamescom in Cologne, where a playable demo will be available.
